Men love to wonder, and that is the seed of science

i think that this quote means that curiosity is the key to learning. people love to wonder and by wondering they are learning. when someone wonders about something they make experiments and learn. all discoveries are based on experiments and other forms of testing. whenever someone starts an experiment it starts with a question, we wonder what the answer might be, and test it.

blood alone mover the wheels of history

this quote means that blood and death helps history progress and advance. what this is supposed to mean is that for something great to happen someone great must die for people to take action or violence must take place for people to take action or make something important happen. i sort of agree with this quote because only sometimes is this the case but not always. all people can solve things without violence but usually someone always has to turn it into a war.

ISB indulgences

i think that selling indulgences is wrong since anyone with money can get perfect grades and other poorer people will have to work hard for their grades. this means that all the rich people could get perfect grades without having to even go to school. all the rich people will go to colleges because they would have better grades and can also pay the college more money. this means that we will be trowing away a ton of people with great knowledge but not enough money because the richer people will take their place. also many poor people that try hard wont get any other privileges than the ones that just buy their way trough school.

all the world's a stage

this quote suggests that life is like a play. that we all have conflicts and resolutions just like the plays we watch. we are all part of the never ending play we call life. but its up to us how we choose to portray our characters. Shakespeare is suggesting that plays are similar to life and that we are all actors in our own way. "we all have our entrances and exits" in this grand play of life and i completely agree with this quote. life really is like a play. except we all write and rewrite them all the time. life is truly like a play, all the drama, sadness, and happiness we all experience without even considering this simple fact. but truly life is one big, sappy long play...

the end justifies the means

this quote means that whatever you do to achieve a good goal weather it is to kill allot of innocent people or do something bad, if the result is good its ok. for example if the kill allot of people trying to find a cure for a disease and you do find it the result was justified. he thought that no matter what he did to achieve his goals as long as the result was good. i think that this idea is sort of skeptical because usually people don't care what happens to other people as long as they get what they want. this idea seems wrong and very twisted to people but usually this is what people do. weather its cutting down the worlds last trees or dumping wast into the oceans. as long as they get paid they dont care. even though this quote is frowned upon it is used allot in modern day.

outer Beauty is the true sign of inner goodness

i disagree with this quote because what you look like dose not reflect on your personality. you can always change your outer beauty but you cant change your inner beauty. you can be born with both inner and outer beauty but that is not always the case. you cannot expect that someone who looks good dose not have to automatically look good.

Renaissance man

the renaissance was a time when everything grew and improved. to be a renaissance you have to reach a high standard. but during the time of the renaissance that was most common.

the average renaissance man possessed great knowledge over many topics. during the renaissance everything bloomed, this included: science, literature, law, math, grammar, and culture. Leonardo da Vinci was the ultimate renaissance man. he was a scientist, inventor, painter, and musician. it is important for a man to have mental fitness since at the time of the renaissance that was a necessary thing to have. the reason why the renaissance made so many smart people is because they set their standards really high and he had to make a contribution to his community weather trough service or money.
